NSK-AKS Precision Ball Company, located in Clarinda, Iowa, is a joint venture between Nippon Seiko Kabushiki Kaisha (NSK Ltd.) and Amatsuji Steel Ball Mfg. Co., Ltd. both from Japan. Founded in 1988, NSK-AKS is a global supplier of high quality, precision steel balls for many markets including the automotive industry, anti-friction bearing industry, original equipment manufacturers, and other ball companies. Our strength is our customer focus in meeting your quality, cost, delivery, and service needs.
Products and Services
As NSK-AKS Clarinda we have the ability to manufacture many different sizes and grades of steel balls in our process. We also have the ability to import products that we don't produce to satisfy any of our customers needs.
Our Process
Our complete process is thorough and precise. Every step is carefully executed and observed. We believe that our process makes the best precision balls in the world. Our product goes through a 6 step process. This process includes heading, flashing, heat treating hard grind and lapping, cleaning, and a visual inspection.
