Personal Protective Equipment

Hard Hat

We enforce hard hat wearing on the production floor to reduce head injuries.

Safety Glasses

We enforce safety glasses to prevent eye injuries on the production floor.

Ear Plugs

Ear plugs are enforced on the production floor to prevent ear injuries and hearing loss.

Steel-toed, Non-slip Shoes

Safety shoes are required to work at AKS to prevent slipping and foot injuries.

We Incentivize Safety

At NSK-AKS Clarinda, we have incentivized safety by giving the opportunity for employees to reward themselves by being safe. "Safety Bucks" are given to employees who fill out safety observation forms, attend safety trainings, and practice other safety-minded behaviors. They then can use these "safety bucks" to purchase different AKS merchandise items.
